A pillowfort community for Dragon Age fans, primarily focusing on fan works. We welcome all 18+ fanfic writers, readers, betas, and fanartists!

We welcome all DA related fanworks content - writing, art, meta, etc. You may also advertise commissions or events which focus on the creation of fanworks (like exchanges, big bangs, etc).
Rules
1) THIS IS NOT A SPOILER FREE ZONE (at least until the release of DA4). All of the games plus DLC have been out for 5+ years at this point, and we are going to assume that if you are reading/writing/beta'ing fanfic you have played the games and DLC. We will not be enforcing any spoilering guidelines at this time.
2) THIS COMMUNITY IS NSFW. Per our server guidelines you must be 18+ to be a member. If you aren't, please exit stage left. Please also consider leaving if you are not comfortable with NSFW content. For the pillowfort community, we do require you to use the NSFW toggle on explicit content so that it can be filtered by anyone watching the community. We will delete explicit posts which are not flagged as NSFW
Due to the age restriction on the server, all members are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriately mature and respectful manner. Persons incapable of doing so may be asked to leave regardless of their legal age.
3) RESPECT This should go without saying but: harassment or bullying of members (in the group or outside of the group) will not be tolerated. Neither will hate speech/bigotry against any particular group of people. This includes both minority and majority groups.
Allowances will be made for humor that punches up and moments of commiseration (for example, expressions of frustration at an incident occurring, like "why are men?"); however, tone here is important. If it isn't a clear joke or situation which warrants such a reaction, then "it was just a joke" after the fact is not an appropriate defense.
At no point is it appropriate to threaten violence or death on any real person (whether they are a member of the server or not), even in jest.
4) BASHING, ANTI-CHARACTER, ETC WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. There are no banned ships or characters, as long as things are discussed in an appropriate manner. Criticisms of characters and critiques are fine, but blatant anti-whoever/character hate is not cool. For example:
Critique/Criticism (allowed): "Sera's internalized racism is squicky to me. I wish they would have allowed her to grow as a character." or "Cullen's statements in DA2 are seriously messed up. I can't be a fan of the character after that."
Anti-whoever/character hate (not allowed): "If you support Cullen you support mage abuse! I HATE CULLEN." Or "Anyone who likes Vivienne is INSANE."
5) BANNED CONTENT. Content with potential triggers (for example, rape, abuse, misgendering, homophobia, etc) should be placed behind a read more and appropriately labeled and tagged just to keep the place as safe as possible for as many people as possible. We have very little banned content, but do ask that you do not post about/discuss any of the following: underage smut, graphic depictions of animal or child abuse, or animal or child death.
6) MISC (A) Please only post/reblog your own original fan content at this time. The only exception to this is that you may share commissions you've paid for of your OCs or fave ships. This may change in the future, but the purpose of this pillowfort is to allow members of the server to archive their work and potentially reach larger audiences.
(B) If you have paid for a commission and are sharing it, please link to the artists' or author's post of the work, their profile, or their commission info. Do not remove or alter artists' marks including but not limited to: signatures, symbols, and watermarks.
(C) Do not post any spam or scam links.
7) Please notify a mod if you need us or if you have a problem with someone/something occurring in the group, by either messaging us here on pillowfort, or notifying us through Discord.
Ignoring these rules will result in consequences as deemed by the mods, up to and including being banned from the server and this community.. If you have questions or concerns, please DM or tag a moderator.
