What counts as a minor character?
This is a bit discretionary, but this amounts to any character with whom Harry has minimal interactions over the course of the books & movies. It includes all video game characters except where the "interactions with Harry" rule is applicable.
A more general rule of thumb - does this character receive limited focus in fics or fanart? Do you feel like you're paddling along with just a handful of other people? That's a minor character.
Rules:
i. No character bashing & character hate
ii. No ship hate.
iii. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated and will get you banned.
iv. Calling someone racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or misogynist slurs of any kind will get you banned.
v. TERFs banned on sight.
vi. Label all NSFW content appropriately using the labels provided by Pillowfort.
vii. Some notes on tagging:
- Characters should be tagged [first name] [last name]. In cases where characters don't have last names please use [name] [harry potter].
- Please tag ships with [first name] x [first name].
- You don't have to tag for a day based theme like meta mondays or WIP wednesdays, but it would be great if you could. Recs should be clearly tagged as a rec (e.g. fic rec, meta rec, art rec etc).
- Similarly, you don't have to tag for fic, meta or art, but it definitely makes searching easier so keep that in mind while tagging.
- For everyone's convenience please follow an "xyz cw" warning format while tagging content warnings.
viii. Keep discussions on topic as far as possible. If you're discussing a character with significant book/screen presence who doesn't fit the criteria, please move it elsewhere.
ix. Please use appropriate content tags and warnings in the post and tags so people can blacklist them effectively. Conversely, please use the filters and blacklist to hide any content you don't want to see!
