The following are required tags to use on your posts where applicable:
NSFW (the slider is a must, as is a tag for why it's NSFW (ex. artistic nudity, sexual nudity, anything else from the trigger warnings below). Please note as long as the site lacks a way to separately manage this, this includes any post you make if your avatar itself is NSFW.
Spoilers
This should also be accompanied by a tag for the title of the movie, book, show, etc it pertains to. To recognise the global audience of Pillowfort and the staggered release schedules of media around the world, we define a Spoiler as any post that includes text or images that reveals an important plot or character development which if previously known may reduce surprise or suspense for a first-time viewer or reader. Spoilers will apply to media released within the last year. If in doubt, add this tag.
Trigger warnings, a general tag as such, and where appropriate a tag for one of these specific common warnings where appropriate:
blood, gore, etc.
violence
rape/sexual assault mentions
death/animal death
sexually suggestive content
self-harm or suicide mentions
mental health - for discussion of difficult topics around such, ex. struggling with negative feelings about self, challenges of coping with something like anxiety, depression, etc.
smoking, drugs, needles
knives, bladed weapons, scissors, guns
bigotry - tag this with the specific type, i.e. discussions or mentions of homophobia, racism, sexism, etc.
politics
money
nudity
General tagging suggestions:
Beyond those laid out above, you're highly encouraged to use any additional tags you think would be helpful.
Not only will this help people with blacklists, it'll also help people looking for your content via the tags. E.g. if a post contains pictures/video/information on snakes, tagging it with 'snakes' will help both those that are afraid of and have blacklisted the term, and those that are interested in finding more snake related content.
If you fail to include a required tag and a moderator removed your post from the community, you may reshare the post as long as you use the required tags the second time. Repeat offenders, or people who show a clear attitude of not cooperating with the rules, will be removed from the community. Removed users that return and continue said behaviour will be blocked from rejoining.
As a user of the comm, if you see a post that you think violates the rules & required tags laid out above, feel free to report it to the mods.
